The University, which took off with academic programs in Arts, Science, and Medicine, is now a comprehensive citadel of learning with academic programs in sixteen Faculties namely, Arts, Science, Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Agriculture, the Social Science and Medicine has now expanded to a more comprehensive citadel and river of learning with academic programs in about sixteen Faculties namely, Arts, Science, Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Agriculture, the Social Science, Clinical Sciences, Agriculture, the Social Sciences, Education, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Technology, Law, Public Health, Dentistry, Economics, Renewable Natural Resources, and Environmental Design and Management.
The university appeared in the latest ranking by the Times Higher Education which is among the only four Nigerian universities that appeared on the list.
This surely must have been decided after a series of deliberation considering different factors.
Covenant University:

The university has had a dramatic rise in reputation in recent years since established. It has four colleges, mostly dedicated to vocational studies: the College of Business and Social Sciences; the College of Leadership and Development Studies; the College of Engineering; and the College of Science and Technology.
Covenant University is also affiliated with the Living Faith Church Worldwide. It is located in Otta-Ogun State.
The University of Lagos (UI)

The University of Lagos was founded in 1962. It presently has three Campuses in Yaba and Surulere. Whereas two of its Campuses are located in Yaba (the main campus in Akoka and the recently created campus at the former School of Radiography), its College of Medicine is located in Idi-Araba, Surulere. Remarkably, all three campuses are located in the Mainland of Lagos. Its main campus is largely surrounded by the scenic view of the Lagos lagoon on 802 acres of land in Akoka, the North Eastern part of Yaba.
The University of Lagos currently has twelve Faculties, namely, Arts, Basic Medical Sciences, Business Administration, Clinical Sciences, Dental Sciences, Education, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Law, Pharmacy, Science, and Social Sciences
University of Nsukka

The University Of Nigeria (NsuKKA) is ranked fourth in Nigeria and it has 102 academic departments across 15 faculties, and it offers 82 undergraduate programs and 211 postgraduate programs.
The University of Nigeria Nsukka has four campuses. The main one is in Nsukka; the others are in Enugu, Ituku-Ozalla and Aba.
I have always chosen the university of Lagos as my number one choice, but seeing the details on your site, I think I might have to reconsider and explore more options for myself.
I really appreciate this list, you have no idea how this has helped to shape my choice of university.
Am glad it does
