The university of Ibadan haven being Established in 1948, UI as it is popularly called, is the first University in Nigeria. The university has had a dramatic rise in reputation in recent years since established. It has four colleges, mostly dedicated to vocational studies: the College of Business and Social Sciences; the College of Leadership and Development Studies; the College of Engineering; and the College of Science and Technology.

The University Of Nigeria (NsuKKA) is ranked fourth in Nigeria and it has 102 academic departments across 15 faculties, and it offers 82 undergraduate programs and 211 postgraduate programs.

The University of Nigeria Nsukka has four campuses. The main one is in Nsukka; the others are in Enugu, Ituku-Ozalla and Aba.
