South Africa Military Academy

A South Africa Military Academy was founded in 1950 on April 01 based on similar principles as that of the United States military Academy system. It is located in Saldanha, Western Cape, South Africa with a student population of about 300.

A military academy is a unit of the South Africa National Defence Force (SANDF). It houses the faculty of military sciences of Stellenbosh University. The academy is committed to raising future officers that will defend the course of the Nation, who will seek justice and pursue it.
